Detailed Planning and Design
This phase typically starts once the client management made the appropriate operational and budgetary decisions either on the basis of the consultant's recommendations from the prior project phase or on the basis of its own internal studies. During this phase, all previously collected data and design year volume projections are first updated and validated, methods and procedures for each operation are set, the necessary equipment selections are made, and the required processing, storage and handling areas are fitted within the available or proposed facility space. Alternate layout schemes may be prepared for client's consideration before the new design is finalized and before detailed installation floor plans and elevation schematics are prepared as AutoCAD drawings and digital files. All Wellington design drawings are fully referenced and dimensioned to facilitate future installation. Written documentation of the proposed methods and procedures may also be included in this phase.
